About Chris Sfamurri
Certifications
Chris first started CrossFit in the spring of 2014 at CrossFit 1806 in Smyrna. Being a former high school and collegiate athlete, as we grow older there are not many opportunities to scratch the “competitive itch,” but CrossFit offered just that and Chris fell in love with it. He enjoys both the friendly competition between the gym squad and setting personal goals and working hard to meet them. He once competed in a “Whole30 challenge” through CrossFit and it changed his life. CrossFit allows him to test himself daily and stay healthy so he can be a role model for his two children, Porter and Gabby.
Chris has been coaching sports for 18 years, starting as a student assistant coach in 2008 at Wesley College and then as a full-time member of their coaching staff as the offense line coach, strength and conditioning coach, and video coordinator. His coaching career continues at Smyrna High School, where he first coached baseball for 4 years, and for the past 12 years, he has coached football and serves as the assistance BFS coach there. He is also an elementary school gym teacher and has always had a passion for helping youth in our community improve daily to reach their fullest potential.
He is extremely thankful for the opportunity to coach our sports performance clinics for middle school and high school athletes at 302 Athletics. 1% Better is his motto!
